A hat-tip to Ohio’s Governor Strickland:
The Christmas manger displays in Shawnee State Park in Scioto County and Malabar Farm in Richland County had been taken down after a complaint from a Shawnee visitor. He argued that large figures representing the Hindu and Zoroastrian religions should be displayed, too.
Strickland spokesman Keith Dailey says the governor decided last week that the Nativity scenes should be restored to the state parks because they’re appropriate and traditional.
More people need to stand up and say, “Oh, you’re one person and you’re offended? Well gee, that’s too bad. Grow up. I’m not caving in to your whining because hundreds/thousands/millions of people would be offended. Deal with it. Get a life.”
