Since there’s so many stories disputing “global warming”, we figured it’s best to wait and just publish one or two “update” articles per month. This is the January edition:
While the rest of Europe is debating the prospects of global warming during an unseasonably mild winter, a brutal cold snap is raging across the semi-autonomous nation of Greenland. On Disko Bay in western Greenland, where a number of prominent world leaders have visited in recent years to get a first-hand impression of climate change, temperatures have dropped so drastically that the water has frozen over for the first time in a decade.
Russians Brace For The Big Chill
Russians are bracing for temperatures of as low as minus 55 degrees Celsius (minus 67 degrees Fahrenheit) in Siberia as Russia’s emergencies ministry warns on Wednesday of its impending dangers in the coming weeks.
A cold spell soon to replace global warming
Stock up on fur coats and felt boots! This is my paradoxical advice to the warm world.
Earth is now at the peak of one of its passing warm spells. It started in the 17th century when there was no industrial influence on the climate to speak of and no such thing as the hothouse effect. The current warming is evidently a natural process and utterly independent of hothouse gases.
The real reasons for climate changes are uneven solar radiation, terrestrial precession (that is, axis gyration), instability of oceanic currents, regular salinity fluctuations of the Arctic Ocean surface waters, etc. There is another, principal reason—solar activity and luminosity. The greater they are the warmer is our climate.
Temperatures plunged throughout the country this month, as noted in this article from Chicago: Upper Midwest Locked In Dangerous Cold Snap
Bitter, dangerous cold has descended on the Upper Midwest for the second time in less than a week, with the air temperatures falling to 27 below zero in some parts of Wisconsin and 30 below in Minnesota.
In Chicago early Wednesday morning, the temperature fell to -4 at O’Hare International Airport. It was slightly warmer downtown at 2 degrees, but in west suburban Aurora, temperatures bottomed out at -11. But to make matters worse and more dangerous, a northwest wind of 13 mph sent wind chill factors plunging to -22 at O’Hare.
By mid-day, temperatures had climbed only to 8 degrees in Chicago.
As most of North America suffered one of the coldest starts to the year in a decade, researches elsewhere discovered Antarctic volcanoes identified as a possible culprit in glacier melting
In an article published Sunday on the Web site of the journal Nature Geoscience, Hugh Corr and David Vaughan of the British Antarctic Survey report the identification of a layer of volcanic ash and glass shards frozen within an ice sheet in western Antarctica.
“This is the first time we have seen a volcano beneath the ice sheet punch a hole through the ice sheet” in Antarctica, Vaughan said.
Finally, as more and more news articles use the “stranded polar bear” photo, Australian TV Exposes the ‘Stranded Polar Bear’ Global Warming Hoax:
Remember that wonderful picture of stranded polar bears on an ice floe that were used by folks like soon-to-be-Dr. Al Gore to demonstrate how dire the man-made global warming issue is?
Well, ABC television in Australia, on a show called “Media Watch,” recently debunked the entire issue .
It turns out — as NewBuster Jake Gontesky reported on March 20 — the picture was taken in August, “when every year the fringes of the Arctic ice cap melt regardless of the wider effects of global warming.”
