For a moment, let’s suspend all manner of Aristotelean logic. Let’s journey to a happy place where we a man running for the highest office in the United States can be taken at his word, and what he says is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help him God.

Let us believe, for a moment, that in the 20 years he attended the Trinity United Church of Christ, Barack Obama conveniently wasn’t present when Reverend Jeremiah Wright went on one of his racist, bigoted sermons about the evils of the United States.

Let us also believe for a moment that in those 20 years, Barack Obama never made a friend in the congregation of over 6000 people, because if he did then he would have heard at least one person talk about Reverent Wright’s sermon that he missed.

Let us also believe (but only for a moment) that Obama, who by his own admission to the Associated Press attends Reverend Wright’s services “frequently”, was not in the congregation on September 16th, 2001, five days after our country was attacked by terrorists, five days after over 3,000 innocent Americans died. Unlike every other American, Barack didn’t go to his church that Sunday. That’s what he’s asking us to believe. So since we are (for a moment) suspending all manner of logic, let us believe him because otherwise, Obama would have been lying when he told us he never heard Reverend Wright say anti-Semetic things like:

We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America’s chickens are coming home to roost.

Let us also believe that — like the sermons — Obama didn’t read the parish bulletin, at least not on July 22nd, 2007. Because if he did, he would have seen that his beloved Reverend Wright, the man who married him and his wife, the man who baptized his children, devoted his “Pastor’s Page” to an anti-Semetic op-ed written by a known terrorist:

Let us further believe that — like the bulletin — Obama didn’t read the December issue of Trumpet Newsmagazine where Reverend Wright wrote in a eulogy of the late scholor, Asa Hilliard:

[Jesus'] enemies had their opinion about Him. [...] The Italians for the most part looked down their garlic noses at the Galileans. [...] From the circumstances surrounding Jesus’ birth (in a barn in a township that was under the Apartheid Roman government that said his daddy had to be in), up to and including the circumstances surrounding Jesus’ death on a cross, a Roman cross, public lynching Italian style.”

“The government runs everything from the White House to the schoolhouse, from the Capitol to the Klan, white supremacy is clearly in charge [...]

And after we’re done suspending all logic and believing that Obama doesn’t agree with the views of the man who’s church he attended for 20 years, the man who’s church he donated over $26,000 dollars to, according to Obama’s 2006 tax records… after all that, let us turn our attention to someone else Barack Obama has selected as an advisor, his foreign policy advisor Robert Malley. A little digging has unearthed the fact that

Malley was raised in France by his mother — a native New Yorker named Barbara Silverstein — and his father, Simon Malley, a key figure in the Egyptian Communist Party. Rabidly anti-Israel, Simon Malley was a confidante of the late PLO leader Yasser Arafat; an inveterate critic of “Western imperialism”; a supporter of various leftist revolutionary “liberation movements,” particularly the Palestinian cause; a beneficiary of Soviet funding; and a supporter of the 1979 Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

For those who would say that just because Robert’s father was more than a tad anti-American that doesn’t make Robert that way,

In a July 2001 op-ed (titled “Fictions About the Failure at Camp David”) which was published in the New York Times, Robert Malley (whose family, as noted above, had close ties to Yasser Arafat) alleged that Israeli — not Palestinian — inflexibility had caused the previous year’s Camp David peace talks (brokered by Bill Clinton) to fail. This was one of several controversial articles Malley has written — some he co-wrote with Hussein Agha, a former adviser to Arafat — blaming Israel and exonerating Arafat for that failure.

In their August 9, 2001 piece, “Camp David: The Tragedy of Errors,” Malley and Agha again dismissed claims that the Camp David talks had failed when “Ehud Barak’s unprecedented offer” was met with “Yasser Arafat’s uncompromising no.” They wrote that Barak had taken an unnecessarily hard-line approach in negotiating with Arafat. According to Malley and Agha, Arafat believed that Barak was intent on “either forcing him to swallow an unconscionable deal or mobilizing the world to isolate and weaken the Palestinians if they refused to yield.”

Malley’s identification of Israel as the cause of the Camp David failure has been widely embraced by Palestinian and Arab activists around the world, by Holocaust deniers like Norman Finkelstein, and by anti-Israel publications such as Counterpunch. According to American Thinker news editor Ed Lasky, Malley “was also believed to be the chief source for an article [dated July 26, 2001] by Deborah Sontag that whitewashed Arafat’s role in the collapse of the peace process, an article that has been widely criticized as riddled with errors and bias.

Now let’s look at this logically: Both of these men Barack Obama chose to be influential parts of his life. If Barack Obama only had one person in his life that was a bigoted, anti-Semetic, racist, you theoretically could, for a moment, shrug it off with a “Well, everyone has a close friend that means a lot to them for some reason, but that they disagree with on some levels.” But now we see that Barack has two people who are influential to him who are — at the very least — anti-Semetic. And both of these people he selected to play their respective roles.

Even with logic fully suspended, you have to look at the picture that is being painted of Barack Obama and wonder what really lies beneath that shiny, charismatic exterior.

Same old story: a paper with known animosity toward the United States publishes a story about a study done by a British company that says that Britain is "more stable and prosperous" than the United States:

The United Kingdom has been ranked as one of the most stable and prosperous countries in the world, beating the United States, France and even Switzerland in a global assessment of every nation’s achievements and standards.

A one-year investigation and analysis of 235 countries and dependent territories has put the UK joint seventh in the premier league of nations. The top ten comprise also the Vatican, Sweden, Luxembourg, Monaco, Gibraltar, San Marino, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands and the Irish Republic.

Mr Le Mière said that the US had fallen down the scale, although it still scored an average of 93 out of 100, partly because of the proliferation of small arms owned by Americans and the threat to the population posed by the flow of drugs from across the Mexican border.

Actually, the "proliferation of small arms" should have bumped us up higher on the list. But then again, Mr Le Mière, the U.N., and the Times Online believe — like all good socialists — that the populace should be disarmed. 

Now the threat by illegal immigration and drugs… that is something we can agree with.

Being an election year, your phone, no doubt, is ringing off the hook from dozens of political organizations asking for donations. But here’s the thing the political parties fail to realize: it’s not about the money. It’s about the platform and the message.

Case in point, last fall’s race for mayor of Indianapolis:

[Retired Marine Greg} Ballard overcame little name recognition, a sizable mid-September polling deficit and a more than 12-1 fundraising disadvantage to pull off one of the biggest upsets in modern Indiana election history. He beat Democrat Bart Peterson 50.4 percent to 47.2 percent to become the first challenger in 40 years to unseat an Indianapolis mayor.
