The pulse of America: preparing the Fifth Box.

From a friend, comes a story worth noting:

I went to my favorite gun store this past week, and, given the current state of affairs with the two bozos running for president, I’m trying to expand my gun (and ammo) collection as fast as money and my wife will allow. One thing missing from my current collection is the thing that all GFWs (Gun-Fearing Wussies) hate: the Evil Black Rifle. So I ask the shop owner: “What kind of deal can you get for me on an AR-15?” He replies, “Well, I’ll see what I can do but there’s a little problem… every supplier is backordered like I’ve never seen before. It’d be at least a month wait.” This isn’t the first time I’ve heard this from a gun shop owner recently. I replied, “Gee, I wonder why that could be?” He snorted. “Gee, I wonder too. Those two guys down at the end of the counter filling out their paperwork? Both of them are first-time gun buyers. And both of them are buying a gun for the same reason I know you’re asking about an AR-15. We get about half a dozen people a week in here doing the same thing.”

Why would people who previously had never owned a gun suddenly feel the need to buy one?

With the current candidates for president, and with the potential of the imposition of tyranny by our government, why indeed.

While we here at FiveBoxes hope that we never have to resort to the Fifth Box, it seems that the innate sense of Americans country-wide is to prepare it just in case.

Barack Obama is speaking. Are we listening?

The main principles of Marxist-Socialist philosophy are not hard to find. They are not hidden away in some secret document, they are not encrypted, they are not memorized by a secret society and whispered only amongst its members. The cornerstones of Marxist-Socialist philosophy are actually quite easy to find, and easy to understand. They can be summed up as follows:

  • The state has been the a device for suppression of the masses
  • There are two classes of people: The Bourgeoisie (the wealthy business owners) and the Proletariat (the poor laborers)
  • The state has allowed the exploitation of the working class by the dominant (capitalistic) class
  • Capitalism will inevitably wither away and be superseded by a classless society
  • To prevent class struggle, industry needs to be owned and operated by the state
  • The individual must sacrifice for the betterment of the whole
  • Webster’s Revised Unabridged Dictionary published in 1913 defined Socialism as “a theory or system of social reform which contemplates a complete reconstruction of society, with a more just and equitable distribution of property and labor.”

For months, Barack Obama and his wife have been telling us, over and over again, what their true intentions are, and what their core beliefs are. But have we been paying attention? More importantly, why has the media ignored these morsels of Marxism? Here are some of their words, straight form their mouths:

Barack Obama: Wrong choice as Commander in Chief

In the challenging times ahead, our nation faces multiple threats from around the world. We face the continued threat of terrorist attack in many forms, both home and abroad. We face the threat of a nuclear Iran and North Korea, both with intermediate-range missiles at their disposal. We face the threats of a reborn Russia and an emerging China. To face these challenges, we need to ensure that both our military and the tools they use are the best available to anyone worldwide.

And in response to these needs, Barack Obama suggests… disarmament?

Let’s go through his proposal point by point: (more…)
