First there were the smoking bans that prevented business owners from deciding what legal activity could take place in their place of business. Then New York bans trans-fats. Now this:

Mississippi legislators this week introduced a bill that would make it illegal for state-licensed restaurants to serve obese patrons.

And who, pray tell, determines what is “obese”? Will everyone need to stand on a scale that determines body mass index before entering the restaurant? At what point do We the People throw these politicians and their Nanny State ideas out of office?  Or will we keep blindly pulling their lever (if we even bother to vote) until one day we wake up and the government is deciding for everyone what we can eat and what we can’t?
