From a friend, comes a story worth noting:
I went to my favorite gun store this past week, and, given the current state of affairs with the two bozos running for president, I’m trying to expand my gun (and ammo) collection as fast as money and my wife will allow. One thing missing from my current collection is the thing that all GFWs (Gun-Fearing Wussies) hate: the Evil Black Rifle. So I ask the shop owner: “What kind of deal can you get for me on an AR-15?” He replies, “Well, I’ll see what I can do but there’s a little problem… every supplier is backordered like I’ve never seen before. It’d be at least a month wait.” This isn’t the first time I’ve heard this from a gun shop owner recently. I replied, “Gee, I wonder why that could be?” He snorted. “Gee, I wonder too. Those two guys down at the end of the counter filling out their paperwork? Both of them are first-time gun buyers. And both of them are buying a gun for the same reason I know you’re asking about an AR-15. We get about half a dozen people a week in here doing the same thing.”
Why would people who previously had never owned a gun suddenly feel the need to buy one?
With the current candidates for president, and with the potential of the imposition of tyranny by our government, why indeed.
While we here at FiveBoxes hope that we never have to resort to the Fifth Box, it seems that the innate sense of Americans country-wide is to prepare it just in case.
