According to White House Budget Director Peter Orszag, the high budget deficit isn’t Obama’s fault… according to Orszag, Obama inherited it. But inherited from whom?

After all, the president doesn’t control the purse strings of the budget…. Congress does that. And when federal spending in the last 2 years of George Bush’s presidency skyrocketed, who was controlling both houses of Congress? The Democrats. Who was sitting in the Senate? Barack Obama. So in essence, Barack Obama inherited the massive deficit from himself and his friends.

But why let facts get in the way of blaming the other guy, right?
