Normally our Friday update contains bits of political news and our sarcastic commentary. This week we are skipping all the fluff and getting right to the heart of the matter: The healthcare bill that is in the US House of Representatives is the most important thing going on right now. It represents the future of our freedoms, and your immediate action is necessary if we are going to preserve our liberties.

You need to call your Representatives in Congress and tell them to vote NO on the healthcare bill.

FIRST: If you don’t know who your Representative is, use the “Get Involved” section in the sidebar to the right. Enter your zip code and click “GO”. In the left-hand column, under President & Congress, find the Representative’s name and click on it. In the resultant page, click the Contact tab to get their phone numbers.

SECOND: Call the Congressional Switchboard in Washington DC: 877-762-8762 toll-free, or 202-224-3121 or 202-225-3121. If the line is busy, and it is likely to be, keep calling back. Once you get through, ask to speak to your representative or their office. When you get through, tell whoever answers the phone that you want your Representative to vote NO on the healthcare bill, and that your vote for or against them in the next election depends upon how they vote on healthcare. Be polite, but firm.

THIRD: Call your Representative’s local office. (Found in Step One.) Tell them the same thing you told the Congressional office.

FOURTH: Nag all your family and all your friends. Get everyone on the phone. Flood your Representatives.

Repeat steps Two and Three over, and over, and over again. We MUST kill the healthcare bill if we want to preserve our freedom!
